A 19-year-old man missing from his Kent home for nearly two weeks has been located safe in South Derbyshire.

Michael Chapman-Davies, from Gravesend, disappeared after leaving the family home on Friday March 28 for Leeds.

He checked out of a hotel in the city at around noon the next day but was not heard from again.

He was found safe and well in South Derbyshire on Thursday.

His family and police would like to thank the public and the media for their help in finding him.

They would also like to express special thanks to Wakefield band, The Cribs, who helped publicise the case on their website.
