An investigation was launched by police in October after a man reportedly stole from vehicles parked in the town.

Officers were called after reports two cars had been broken into and rummaged through in Milton Hall Road in the early hours of the morning.

The incident took place around 12.20am on October 19 but police arrested and charged Liam Lunt in connection with the alleged break-ins last month.

The 21-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates' Court last week where he pleaded guilty to the offences.

He was sentenced to six months in prison suspended for 24-months.
