Gravesend man charged after suspected ten minute burglary spree in Wrotham Road and Essex Road

A suspected burglar has been charged after he is believed have engaged in a 10-minute spree of violent offences in Gravesend.

Officers were called to a home in Wrotham Road at around 7.47pm on Christmas Eve following reports a man with a knife had forced his way inside and assaulted someone.

Nine minutes later, a similar offence took place in Essex Road.

In between the two burglaries, the same offender is alleged to have assaulted a different man in Wrotham Road before damaging a nearby garden gate and summer house.

Officers investigating the four incidents detained a suspect by 8.05pm and no victims reported sustaining serious injuries.

Jacek Gralak, of Kent Road, Gravesend, was later charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, affray, actual bodily harm, criminal damage and assaulting an emergency worker.

The 24-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, December 26.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on January 25, 2021.
