Man accused of hiding drugs in his underwear at pub in Northfleet

A man has been charged with drug dealing after police saw him hiding something in his pants.

Officers were at a pub in London Road, Northfleet, on Saturday as part of a proactive operation to target pub goers who are using and dealing drugs inside licenced premises across the area.

Once inside, a man was seen concealing what is believed to be cocaine inside his underwear.

He was arrested and after a further search at another address, various drug-related items were seized including several quantities of cocaine and cannabis, mobile phones and a large amount of cash. A machete was also seized.

Joseph Ball, 36, of Pier Road, Northfleet, has since been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession with intent to supply cannabis and acquiring criminal property.

Ball appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday where he was remanded in custody. He is due to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, December 19.
