Liam Daish is poised to sign a new deal as boss of Ebbsfleet that could be rubber-stamped on Thursday.

Daish, who is also 14/1 to fill the vacant manager’s position at Gillingham, is due back at the club after a few days break, and the news will end any speculation about his future.

The deal will see Daish (pictured) take over from Andy Ford as the longest-serving manager in the club’s history.

Meanwhile, the Fleet are appealing to all local businesses, residents and supporters to help boost Daish’s playing budget.

A club spokesman said: "The club is offering a giant-sticker, which can be placed in shops/businesses, places of work, homes or even the car to indicate people are supporting us. Every penny will go straight into the playing budget and donating £52 (£1 per week) can help make a difference."

Businesses who support the club will be listed in the programme as well as taking part in a prize draw.
