Arrest made in Gravesend town centre double stabbing investigation

Police investigating a double stabbing have made an arrest.

Officers were called to Gravesend town centre near Harmer Street following reports of two people being stabbed.

The victims were walking in the area when they were approached by a man who is reported to have made threats before assaulting them where they suffered “injuries consistent with stab wounds”.

Officers believe the incident took place around 3.15am on New Year’s Day.

Both men were taken to a London hospital where one man remains in a stable condition.

A woman in her 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident. Enquiries are ongoing.
