The Navy’s largest warship made its way past Gravesend having been in London for the Olympic Games.

HMS Ocean headed along the north Kent coast on Wednesday lunchtime.

The amphibious helicopter carrier arrived in Greenwich in July, where she acted as a helicopter launch pad and logistics and support hub for Olympic security.

The ship had drawn crowds in May when she sailed up the Thames, past Gravesend, for a security rehearsal in London.
