Rowing, a carnival, funfair and England’s most powerful men were all on show at the weekend (as well as the rain) for what could the last Gravesend Regatta.
The 165th regatta, held in the Riverside Leisure Area, Gordon Promenade, involved rowing races and tournaments as well as a carnival funfair, trade and charity stalls.
On the Saturday, athletes battled it out in a bid to become England’s most powerful man weighing under 105 kilos.
This was followed by another England’s most powerful man competition on the Sunday.
But organisers, the Gravesend Regatta Committee, have said that the future of the event is in doubt unless more volunteers or cash are found.
