A doctor's surgery, where a GP was suspended in 2009, has closed.
Navin Naran Zala was suspended by an interim orders panel of the General Medical Council in August 2009. This was renewed by the GMC in February this year.
A full investigation has not yet started.
However, NHS West Kent said in a statement today (Wednesday) that the Marling Way Practice, Gravesend, had closed at 7.30pm on Monday after Dr Zala dissolved the partnership. The PCT has removed him from their “performers’ list”, which means he cannot work as a GP in the West Kent area.
The PCT will now manage the patient lists as people are moved to other practices.
Urgent cases should go to the White Horse Surgery and Walk In Centre in Gravesend.
