Firefighters helped rescue a passenger after his legs became trapped when a car smashed into a brick wall.

Two pumps from Thames-side station were called out by ambulance crews at 10pm on Tuesday after the BMW 3 Series crashed in Harvel Road, Vigo.

Fire crews cut through the car to rescue the passenger, thought to be in his 20s, while the driver managed to escape on his own.
