Enthusiastic fundraisers are getting ready to put their best foot forward for charity and celebrate all that's great about Britain.

The Great British Sponsored Sunset Stroll will take place on June 30 and is raising money for the EllenorLions Hospice, the Messenger's charity of the year.

The Messenger has joined with the north Kent charity to organise the 2.5km walk from the Cyclopark to St George's Church in Gravesend setting off at 5.30pm.

Emma Middleton, community fundraising events manager for the hospice, said: "We're really excited about our newest walk. It will be a great family night out and we can't wait to see everyone in their t-shirts and fancy dress showing their support."

Entry is £15 for adults and £5 for children. All entrants get a free t-shirt.
