Ebbsfleet are looking forward to a big cash windfall after their FA Cup first round replay against AFC Wimbledon at Stonebridge Road was selected to be shown live on satellite channel ESPN next Thursday.

It will earn the Blue Square Bet South club £33,750, and take their television earnings from the tie to more than £40,000, having picked up nearly £7,000 from the ITV highlights package screened on Saturday night.

Fleet also expect to make around £14,000 from their share of the gate receipts from the game at the weekend.

Secretary Peter Danzey said: "We are delighted that the game is being shown. It does mean that we will be playing Bromley in the FA Trophy two days later but we are contacting them to see if they would agree to play the game on the Sunday."

The South London club are likely to be backed by around 2,000 travelling fans, with interest in the tie increased by Sunday’s second draw which set-up the prospect of AFC Wimbledon meeting Milton Keynes Dons, the "franchise" club who controversially replaced them in the Football League.

Crowd segregation will be in force for the replay and Mr Danzey added: "When AFC Wimbledon came here last season with gave them two-fifths of the ground. The Swanscombe end only holds 650 people due to ground regulations, so we have to use part of the Stonebridge Road terrace, and seats in the main stand to accomodate them."
