Ebbsfleet raced into third position in Blue Square Bet South following a one-goal victory over Hampton & Richmond on Tuesday night.

Calum Willock’s 15th goal of the season was enough to separate the sides as Fleet made it two home wins in a week at Stonebridge Road.

Fleet boss Liam Daish handed a debut to Brentford full-back Ryan Blake in the fixture and he settled in quickly.

Early efforts from Joe Howe and Tom Phipp went wide of the mark, while Ricky Shakes poked an effort just wide when clean through.

The deadlock was broken seven minutes into the start of the second half when Craig Stone picked out Willock and the striker converted with a header. That proved to be enough to take the points.

Bromley suffered a 3-0 home defeat to fellow high-fliers Chelmsford City.

Sam Higgins scored after seven and 37 minutes with Dave Rainford netting a 19th minute goal in between.
