The crew say the couple did exactly the right thing when they left their home as soon as they could and closed the door behind them.

The pair, who were in their 60s were waiting outside their home when the crew arrived.

Firefighters spent about an hour-and-a-half at the scene and said the kitchen worktops, ceiling and cupboards were damaged by the flames and other parts of the house also suffered smoke damage.
