Ebbsfleet and Cray Wanderers will have to battle it out again in mid-week after an entertaining 2-2 draw at Hayes Lane.

The FA Cup third qualifying round tie was almost settled at the first attempt when Ebbsfleet's Ashley Carew stepped up to the penalty spot with the scores level on 89 minutes. But, Cray goalkeeper Dave King came to the rescue, saving from 12 yards to guarantee a replay at Stonebridge Road.

Ebbsfleet took the lead after 12 minutes when Paul Lorraine headed in from a Michael West corner. But, the home side fought back well and Danny Phillips caught the eye after half an hour with a sublime run and lob over Ebbsfleet's goalkeeper Preston Edwards. Edwards was left rooted to the spot as Phillips drew Cray level.

After the break, Laurent Hamici looked set to grab the headlines when he put Cray 2-1 ahead on 73 minutes. Calum Willock had other ideas though as he equalised with nine minutes to go, volleying a free kick into the net from close range.

Carew looked set to steal a victory for Ebbsfleet in the dying moments, but King's heroics ensure the two sides will meet again on Tuesday night.
