TWO brothers appeared in court on Friday to hear when they would stand trial over an incident where a 16-year-old girl was stabbed in the neck.

Matthew Godden, 28, of Preston Road, Northfleet, denies wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and battery.

His brother Michael, 24, of the same address, denies actual bodily harm and battery charges.

Both appeared at Madstone Crown Court on Friday and were bailed to appear back before the judge on Monday, July 6.

The incident happened in Park Avenue, Northfleet on October 2, 2008.
