Ebbsfleet's Blue Square Bet Premier rivals will get the chance to gain ground on them this weekend.

Wrexham’s FA Cup tie at Brighton means the Fleet have no game this Saturday.

Additional training slots offer little consolation to boss Liam Daish, as his squad continue to use the Stonebridge Road pitch for their sessions.

He added: "It doesn’t really help, when we haven’t got a training field. Our pitch is taking a bit of a battering because we haven’t got training facilities.

"We might try to sort out some 3G facilities but we’ve always been limited regarding our training facilities.

"Everyone, near enough, has played the same amount of games now. With us not playing on Saturday, that will happen again and it will end up that we have a game in hand on people."

The Fleet’s next game is at home to Chester in the FA Trophy second round on January 14.
