FIREFIGHTERS had to clear up fuel from a carriageway after a car overturned on the A2.

One crew from Thames-side was called to the incident outside the Esso garage near Cobham at around 12.30pm.

Three lanes were closed London bound leaving traffic queueing for two miles.

Eyewitnesses said the car was on its roof and missing one wheel.

By 1.25pm the emergency services had left the scene, it is not known how many people were inside the vehicle.

All lanes were reopened by 2pm.
