Nineties boyband 5ive to headline the Gravesham Riverside Festival

Nineties boyband 5ive will headline the Gravesham Riverside Festival when it returns later this month.

The group sold more than 20 million records through hits such as “Slam Dunk (Da Funk)”, “When The Lights Go Out”, “Got The Feeling” and “Everybody Get Up”.

After more than 10 years apart, the band were asked to reform as part of ITV’s ‘The Big Reunion’. There are currently three members in the band.

Organisers Gravesham council say this year’s festival promises to be bigger and better than before with tributes act for Bob Marley, Foo Fighters, Ed Sheeran, Fleetwood Mac and Taylor Swift on the main stage.

The Voice contestant Jamie Johnson has also been booked to appear.

Food stalls and fun fair rides will be available with a circus workshop, Bhangra workshops, salsa tasters and African drumming classes.

In Fort Gardens, there will be a 1950s themed summer market with more than 60 craft and produce stalls including pony rides, a coconut shy and Punch n Judy.

The festival takes place on Saturday, July 25.
