A Land Rover Discovery was left on its roof in the middle of the A2 near Gravesend after a rush-hour crash.

London-bound traffic stretched back to the M2 because of the blockage near the Gravesend east turn-off, which left the carriageway closed.

Emergency services were called to the crash at around 8.30am.

The male driver was taken to hospital as a precaution but only sustained minor injuries.

The carriageway was reopened at 9.35am.
