£1.7 million school works unveiled

A £1.7 million school redevelopment has received top marks today when the new buildings were officially opened.

Paul Carter, leader of Kent County Council and Councillor Peggy Oakeshott, Mayor of Gravesham, gave the project at Wrotham Road School in Gravesend a big thumbs up.

Following extensive works, the school now has a new sports hall and music/drama hall, two new classrooms, a new nursery, re-configured library, new staff offices and a medical room.

Chair of Governors, Ann Walker, said: “I am absolutely thrilled with the new buildings.

"Although the past year has been difficult at times, we are delighted with the final outcome."
