Folkestone clash with Kent rivals Herne Bay this weekend in what could turn out to be a play-off dress rehearsal.

Bay are just five points outside the top-five and very much in the hunt to claim the final play-off spot in Ryman League Division 1 South.

Meanwhile, Invicta probably only need three more wins to cement their place in the end-of-season lottery.

Manager Neil Cugley said: "The idea has always been to get in the play-offs and it looks like we’re well on course for that. Once we’ve done that, we want to be second or third and we’ve emphasised that to the players.

"They want to finish as high as they can because being at home in the play-offs is a really important thing. It’s very enjoyable having a home tie."

Herne Bay are on a six-match unbeaten run although they’ve only won one of their last six games at Winch’s Field.

Cugley said: "Sam Denly’s done a good job over there and he’s got some good players: Danny Spiller, Stuart King, Jack Delo.

"Kingy scores goals for fun and that takes a bit of the pressure off.

"Sam knows people, he knows that area and he’s a good manager."

Micheal Everitt is not available for the trip to Herne Bay but otherwise Cugley has a full squad to pick from.
