Folkestone pay for lack of action

Folkestone Rugby club 1st XV suffered a 23-5 defeat at Heathfield & Waldron in London League 4 South East on Saturday.

It was clear right from the start that Folkestone were suffering from the Christmas break, which had left them without a match for a month.

The home team had the benefit of one match under their belts and were quicker to the ball and much more decisive.

They ran out deserved winners although the Stones had their chances but simply didn't take them until Lee Jeffrey went over late on.

This Saturday, Folkestone are at home to Hastings & Bexhill (2.15pm).
