PC Darren Parkinson slaps the handcuffs on newly-weds Stuart and Claire Davies

Newly-weds Claire and Stuart Davies found there was no escape from the law when they took a break during their wedding reception on Saturday for a stroll along Dover seafront.

The couple gained the attention of Port of Dover police officer PC Darren Parkinson - who sprang into action when he spotted them loitering near a ‘no waiting’ sign.

Fortunately he released them in time for them to fly off to Kenya for their honeymoon.
