Two thrown from BMW in A20 crash

FOUR people were taken to hospital after a road traffic collision on the A20 near Capel, between Folkestone and Dover.

Police say the incident involving a single vehicle, a blue BMW, happened on the London-bound carriageway at about 4.40pm on Thursday.

The man driving the car and a woman passenger sitting in the front seat were thrown from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. Two people in the rear seats suffered minor injuries.

All four were taken by land ambulance to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved. The cause of the collision is being investigated by Kent Police’s Serious Collision Unit.
