Police investigate suspected arson in Richmond Street, Folkestone

Two people were taken to hospital following a suspected early morning arson attack.

Police have now launched an investigation following the incident at a home in Richmond Street, Folkestone.

The fire broke out at 2.20am yesterday and was contained to the front door of the house.

As well as police, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and ambulance crews attended.

Two people were taken to hospital for smoke inhalation as a precautionary measure.

Information is now being sought from witnesses who might have seen anything unusual or suspicious.
