Three men charged after £900k cash found in van at Channel Tunnel in Folkestone

Three men have been charged after about £900,000 was found in a van stopped at the Channel Tunnel.

The cash discovery was made at the Folkestone terminal on Wednesday.

Faisal Khan, 26, of Grafton Street in Batley, West Yorkshire, and Mohammed Khan, 42, and Asim Khan, 18, both of Healy Lane, Batley, were arrested and each charged with one count of money laundering.

Faisal Khan was also charged with possession of articles for use in fraud and conspiracy to defraud.

They appeared before virtual court yesterday and were remanded in custody to attend Canterbury Crown Court on Friday, February 22.
