Man injured by teenager in assault in Cheriton Road, Folkestone

A man has been injured in a street attack in broad daylight in Folkestone.

Police are investigating after the victim was assaulted by a teenager, despite the efforts of an onlooker to intervene.

The man, aged in his 50s, was left with cuts and bruises to his head and arms after the confrontation in Cheriton Road, near the junction with Broadmead Road.

His assailant, who was part of a group of five or six people, was described as being aged around 18-years-old.

He wearing a black puffer jacket, baseball cap, white trainers and a blue bandana.

Officers have spoken to some witnesses, but believe there are others who are yet to come forward.

They are especially keen to speak to a woman who reportedly attempted to intervene in the assault.

Anyone who witnessed or has any information about the incident, which took place between 2.15pm and 2.30pm on Saturday, November 19, is asked to contact police.
