ITEMS believed to have been stolen in burglaries are to be put on display to the public to try and reunite them with their rightful owners.

The property recovered includes antiques, pictures, jewellery and silverware.

They will go on display at Folkestone police station's open day on April 14. Anyone who thinks the recovered items belong to them are invited to attend any time between 10am and 4pm.

Other attractions on the day include a visit to the custody cells, fingerprinting, police dog demonstrations, football coaching and the other emergency services.

Ch Insp Luke Dodson said: "We’re hoping to meet as many of our local residents as possible and are sure that there will be something to interest everyone."
