Driver dies after collapsing at wheel

A 60-year-old motorist collapsed today while driving and smashed into a parked car. He was taken by ambulance to the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford where he was pronounced dead.

The accident happened in Romney Avenue in the Golden Valley area of Folkestone at around 10.30am.

The man lived in the Folkestone area. His identity has not been released.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw what happened to contact the crash investigation team on 01622 600970.
