Church-goer falls over as boys snatch handbag

TWO teenagers grabbed a 76-year-old woman's handbag while she was on her way to church.

The victim was walking along Forrester’s Way, Folkestone, near the Lidl supermarket, at 6.20pm on Saturday when she saw the pair coming towards her.

One grabbed hold of her handbag and pulled it, which caused the lady to fall to the ground. He continued pulling it and the woman was dragged a short distance before the strap broke.

The two teenagers then ran off and turned into Copthall Gardens.

They are described as white and in their mid teens. One was slim and 5ft tall, wearing a dark woollen hat and a dark coloured top. The other was slightly shorter.
