Car hit safety barrier and overturned into ditch near junction 12 of M20, Folkestone

A car hit a safety barrier on the motorway before overturning into a ditch.

The police were called at 2.35pm after the black vehicle, thought to be a 4x4, crashed just off the M20 coastbound slip-road of junction 12, between Cheriton and Folkestone.

Three fire engines were sent to the scene and crews used cutting tools to remove the roof of the car and release two casualties stuck inside.
