Car driver in heart attack drama

THE round hill tunnels in Folkestone were closed this morning to allow the Kent Air Ambulance to make an emergency landing.

It was called to the A20 at about 10am after a driver suffered a heart attack. The victim managed to pull his car over onto the hard shoulder before calling the emergency services himself.

Traffic was diverted while the man was taken to hospital. The road was re-opened later in the morning.
