Air ambulance attend fall at building site in The Mall, Faversham

A man was airlifted to a London hospital following a fall from height at a building site.

Paramedics were called to the scene at building materials supplier Jewson in The Mall, Faversham, yesterday afternoon.

The man suffered potentially serious injuries.

Residents in the area yesterday spotted an air ambulance landing in a field at the nearby Abbey School. Police did not attend the medical incident.

An ambulance service spokesman said: “We were called to a building site on The Mall, Faversham, at about 1.20pm yesterday to reports of a fall from height. Ambulance crews attended and were joined at the scene by the Kent, Surrey, Sussex Air Ambulance Service.

“One person was treated at the scene before being airlifted to hospital in London with potentially serious injuries."

Jewson declined to comment.
