Dover Athletic v Bishop's Stortford

DOVER Athletic defender Matt Bourne admits that he is "as surprised as anybody" by his goalscoring spree in the FA Cup so far this season.

The 20-year-old has scored four goals in Whites' four Cup wins over Bracknell, Alton, Thurrock and Heybridge Swifts - and another one in Saturday's Crabble clash with Bishops Stortford would do very nicely as far as Dover fans are concerned.

But Bourne said: "I have always played at the back, and for me to score a goal has generally been a bit of a rarity - but I've scored seven this season already!"

Meanwhile, key defenders Tony Browne and Craig Cloke return on Saturday after serving one match bans, although midfield ace John Keister is suspended for four more games.

Winger Chris Chase came on as substitute at Maidenhead after three weeks out with ankle trouble. But goalkeeper Glen Knight underwent an operation on his injured thumb last week and will be out for several more weeks. Darren Smith continues to deputise.

Danny Chapman was this week trying to sort out his mysterious injury and he sees a specialist this week about a possible trapped nerve in his back. Walker is unsure how much longer he will be missing.
