DOVER chairman Jim Parmenter expects further player departures from Crabble this summer.

Whites have released four players - long-serving goalkeeper Paul Hyde, Buster Smissen, Kevin Lott and Dave Clifford - but Mr Parmenter added: "The four players released were all out of contract, but obviously we have players who are under contract.

"It may be that one or two of them may not be in Clive [Walker’s] plans for next season, and the manager will talk to those players about their futures.

"This squad needs building and there were certain qualities and characteristics that were missing last season, which we need to get into the squad for next season."
