Dover produced their best display for many campaigns as they held London 2 South title chasers Cobham to an unusual 0-0 draw.

Dover adopted an attacking approach and, despite playing up slope in the first half, were on the offensive from the start. They threatened the visitors' line on a number of occasions but were just unable to put the points on the board.

The second half was played in a similar vein and again the play was dominated by the hosts with Martyn Beaumont going closest with a penalty late on.

“This was a fantastic effort by my lads and I am proud of the way that we battled to the end," coach Graham Tonks said.

“Cobham are possibly the best side we have faced since I started coaching these boys.”
