Dover Athletic defender Sean Raggett has joined National League rivals Lincoln City.
The Sincil Bank club announced the move on Wednesday afternoon after agreeing a two-year deal, to sign the 6ft 5in 22-year-old England C centre-back, beating off interest from several clubs in England and Scotland.
Cheltenham had been linked with Raggett, and there was also speculation recently that Gillingham were interested in signing the Medway-based player.
Raggett said: "The opportunity to make the transition into full-time football under an ambitious young manager and at a club with such a rich history was too good to turn down.
"Whilst I appreciate what everyone at Dover has done for me I felt it was time for me to come out of my comfort zone and test myself in a new system with new players and new management. I can't wait to get started."
Raggett started his career with the Gills, before joining Dover as a 16-year-old, and has made more than 150 appearances at Crabble.
As the player is under the age of 24, Dover will be entitled to compensation.
