Guston pole vaulter Nick Moore is celebrating after winning the senior title at the Kent Indoor Championships at Lee Valley.

Moore registered a winning jump of 3.85m, a new personal best, and beat his coach, ex-Olympian and M55 Allan Williams in the process.

“I had an extremely frustrating warm-up but managed to bring it round when it came down to the real thing,” he said.

“I felt as though my 3.85m jump was technically the best of my competition jumps and one of the best I have ever produced.”

Williams jumped 3.70m and missed a new British record of 3.85m. He holds the current record at 3.81m.
