Harbour pupils excel in cross-country competition

MORE than 170 children from 10 schools took part in the Kent Special Schools’ cross-country event hosted by the Orchard School at the University in Canterbury.

Harbour School, from Dover, won the junior boys’ and girls’, and the senior girls’ sections, while Oakley won the senior boys.

Results:

Year 4-5, boys: 1 Jordan Brazier, Harbour; 2 Luke McLeod, Dane Court; 3 Oliver Newton, Dane Court.

Girls: 1 Laura Wakefield, Dane Court; 2 Stacey Taylor, Ifield, 3 Chelsea Owen, Oakley.

Year 6-7, boys: 1 Stefan Ashman, Highview; 2 Liam Jeffery, Bower Grove; 3 Peter Hewitt, Bower Grove.

Girls: 1 Chanel Bradford, Harbour; 2 Amber Prebble, Dane Court; 3 Sophie Pace; Oakley.

Year 8-9, boys: 1 Daniel Bonner-Williams, Oakley; 2 Jason Wood, Orchard; 3 Stuart Daniels, Bower Grove.

Girls: 1 Charlotte Brill, Broomhill; 2 Roz Madley, Oakley; 3 Amelia Thomson, Orchard.

Year 10-11, boys: 1 Nathan Distin, Oakley; 2 Luke Spigate, Meadow Field; 3 Paul Priddle, Harbour.

Girls: 1 Katrina Holland, Oakley; 2 Tyffeny Macro, Bower Grove; 3 Stella Palmer, Highview.
