Dover 7 Gravesend 8

Dover conceded a try from the final play of the game as Gravesend snatched a dramatic victory in London 2 South.

Dover’s pack started strongly but it was Gravesend who got the first points on the board with a 26th-minute penalty.

Jamie Townley's try and Martyn Beaumont's conversion turned things in the hosts' favour, but that was as good as it got as they spent far too much of the second period defending.

Lee Bowditch was carded shortly into the half, but Gravesend found it tough to find a way past Dover’s 14 men.

The home side almost held on but had two scrums turned over in succession in the final minute, with an overlap being created on the blindside for Gs' winning try.

Dover are without a game on Saturday. Their next game is at Thanet on December 20.
