Work starts at busy junction

Work has started today to improve traffic flows at the River junction on Crabble Hill, Dover.

Traffic queues have built up on both sides of the junction.

The permanent traffic lights have been replaced by temporary signals while widening takes place on Crabble Hill to improve the flow of traffic down the hill.

It will enable vehicles heading into Dover to pass those that are waiting to turn right towards River.

Vehicles will not be able to turn left out of Crabble Road or right into Crabble Road while the work is taking place. Kent Highways say it should take approximately three weeks.
