A 34-year-old man has been arrested in relation to a robbery in London Road, Dover today (Tuesday).

It is said to have happened just before 10am, where a 76-year-old man was allegedly approached by a man who reportedly took the victim’s money.

The pensioner had previously been in the post office in London Road and proceeded to walk through an alleyway between London Road and a supermarket.

A member of public witnessed this and gave chase. He detained the alleged offender and waited for police to arrive.
