Robbery at pharmacy, Chilton Way, River, Dover, James Roberts charged

A man has been charged with robbery after a till was stolen from a shop.

A cash registered with a quantity of cash was reported stolen from a pharmacy in Chilton Way, River, on Wednesday, May 15.

Threats had been made to harm the staff.

James Roberts, 31, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with robbery on Tuesday, Kent Police now confirm.

He appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday and was remanded in custody.

The case will be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, July1.
