One tonne of cocaine seize by Border Force in English Channel

A massive haul of drugs has been seized in the English Channel.

The one tonne package of cocaine was found by Border Force officials before making its way to Kent yesterday.

Speaking about the find on Twitter, The Home Office said: “Yesterday Border Force seized a major package of drugs in the Channel.

“This vital work will continue to stop illegal substances reaching our shores and devastating our communities.”

The government department would not reveal any more details about the discovery, inlcuding if there had been any arrests.
