Major rescue operation involving fire service and Coastguard to save climbers stuck on cliff edge in Dover

A major rescue operation was launched after two climbers became stuck on a cliff edge.

Four fire engines, a rope rescue unit and the Coastguard were sent to Townwall Street, Dover, at 12.23pm yesterday.

The crews worked together to bring the men to safety and the incident was declared over at 1.39pm.

There were no reported injuries.
