Firefighters freed a woman's arm from a letterbox in Dover in the early hours of this morning.

Crews were called to Rokesley Road at 12.30am to a woman in her 30s who was locked out of her home.

She had fed her arm through the letterbox in an attempt to let herself in.

Watch manager Jamie Muddle said the crew spent an hour and 10 minutes at the scene.

He said: "We released the letter box from the door and then cut it off her arm.

"We do get it now and again but we would only get involved if we believe there might be a risk to someone's health or potential fire."
