Football festival fun comes to Kent town

A HUGE five-a-side football tournament will be just one of the attractions at a fun family event this weekend.

Dover Athletic FC, Charlton FC and Dover district council have combined to organise the day, which will be held at Dover's Crabble stadium on Sunday.

The event opens for registration at 9am, with the football tournament starting at 10am.

Family events on the day will include live music on the main stage, bouncy castles, a climbing wall, table-top football with prizes every hour, music workshop, funfair rides, and lots more.

There will also be exhibitions by, among others, Kent Police and Kent Fire and Rescue.

Steve Williams, event organiser, said: "We're expecting around 4,000 people to attend and we hope that as many people as possible turn out to support this terrific day."

Entry to the event is free of charge.
