Free entertainment will be available on Dover seafront on Sunday to mark the handover of the Olympics from Beijing to London.

The 2012 Olympic flag will be raised. Among those helping in the ceremony will be local sports star and potential future Olympian Hannah Moon.

A second flag will then be run to Deal.

There will be live music, street entertainers, stalls and other attractions throughout the day.

A street athletics event will start at 1pm and there will be a Battle of the Bands from 6pm followed by fireworks on the Prince of Wales pier at 9pm.

The street athletics concept has been created by Olympic gold medallists Linford Christie and Darren Campbell.

Their careers started by challenging other youngsters to race against each other.

Now they tour the country encouraging others to do the same.

All those taking part in the street athletics on Sunday will receive a T-shirt and dog tags and a chance to win a T-shirt signed by Linford and Darren.

The fastest sprinter will get the chance to compete in the national final in Manchester on Saturday, September 20, and win a year's kit contract with Reebok.
