A2 Jubilee Way in Dover closed following serious crash

A serious crash has closed part of the A2 in Dover. Police have now confirmed a man has died.

Two cars are thought to have collided between the A20 at the Eastern Docks roundabout and the A258 at St Margaret's At Cliffe / Deal Roundabout.

Police are other emergency services were called to the scene at about 1.20am.

Highways bosses say the closure is expected to remain in place for several hours.

Diversion routes are in force.

Drivers travelling eastbound are advised to follow the Solid Circle diversion symbol on road signs.

Diverted traffic will be diverted at the Guston Roundabout onto the A258 towards Dover and Castle Hill Road.

Prior to the junction with Woolcomber street and Maison Dieu Road it will turn South into St James Street.

From St James it will then turn south east into Woolcomber Srteet and travel towards the junction with the A20 where it will be directed to the A2 at Jubilee Way.

Road users travelling westbound are advised to follow the Solid Square diversion symbol on road signs.

Traffic will exit the Easter Docks onto the A20 Town Wall Street and travel to the York Street Roundabout.

It will then exit York Street Roundabout into York Street and travel north west until the junction with Priory Road Roundabout.

Here it will continue straight on into Priory Road (A256).

It will stay on the A256, until the junction, until the junction with Whitfield Hill where it will turn north east into Whitfield Road Hill returning to the A2.
